Join Darebin United in 2027

Whether you are a returning player, joining Darebin United for the first time, interested in coaching or ready to support the club, this is your starting point for the 2027 season. Follow the pathway below for Expressions of Interest, age groups, trials, team formation, registration and key dates. Submitting an EOI records your interest and helps the club plan sustainable teams, but it does not guarantee selection, an offer or team placement.

Trials and selection

Trials help the club assess players, form balanced squads and understand the number of viable teams within each age group.

Junior trials for U12–U17 boys and girls are planned for November 2026. U18 and senior selection activities will follow as the senior preseason begins.

Players should attend the sessions nominated for their age group. Trial participation, player numbers, team balance, coach availability and squad capacity will all contribute to selection decisions.

What happens after you submit an EOI?

  1. Interest is recorded against the relevant 2027 program.
  2. The club reviews demand by age group, team and pathway.
  3. Coaches and team structures are developed as applications and player numbers become clearer.
  4. Players are contacted about trials, offers or additional information when appropriate.
  5. Formal registration follows after a place and viable team structure are confirmed.

An EOI is not a registration, contract, selection decision or guarantee of a place. Teams can only proceed when there are sufficient players, an appointed coach and a sustainable squad.

Team formation and player communication

Darebin United will communicate as early as practical when an age group has enough players and coaching support to proceed.

For MiniRoos U7–U11, EOIs may remain open through February where teams still require players. If a viable team cannot be formed, affected families will be advised by the end of February.

For junior U12–U17 teams, players will be advised during December if insufficient numbers or coaching coverage prevent a team from proceeding.

Please keep the contact details supplied through Majestri current so important updates are received.

Registration, fees and getting ready

Formal registration is completed after the club confirms the appropriate pathway, team or offer.

Please do not treat an EOI submission as completed season registration.

Help build Darebin United in 2027
