Darebin United Soccer Club was established in 1975 and has grown from its senior football foundations into an inclusive community club supporting players from their first football experience through to junior and senior competition at Mayer Park.
Darebin United Soccer Club was established in 1975 at Mayer Park in Thornbury. The club’s foundations were built through senior football and the commitment of local players, coaches, committee members and supporters who created a strong football home in the City of Darebin.
In 2014, Darebin United introduced its first junior team. That important step broadened the club’s purpose and created new opportunities for local boys and girls to begin, enjoy and develop through football.
Since then, the club has continued to grow its pathway across MiniRoos, junior and senior football, alongside expanding opportunities for girls and women and the development-focused Apollo Academy program.
Darebin United is an inclusive, independent and not-for-profit community club. Our story has been shaped by generations of players, coaches, team managers, committee members, sponsors, families and volunteers who have contributed their time, knowledge and energy.
Every team, season and volunteer contribution forms part of the club’s history and strengthens the pathway available to the next generation.
We are continuing to review club records, photographs, achievements and milestones so this page can grow into a richer account of Darebin United’s history. Former players, officials and supporters who can help preserve the club’s story are encouraged to contact the club.
Community football since 1975. Play. Develop. Belong.
