Q: When was Darebin United founded?
A: Darebin United was established in 1975.
Q: Where is Darebin United located / where do you play your home games?
A: We are based in Thornbury, Victoria, and play at Mayer Park.
Q: What league does the men’s senior team play in?
A: Our men’s senior and reserves compete in Football Victoria’s Men’s State League 5 (North).

Q: Who owns Darebin United?
A: We are a fully independent Not For Profit Club affiliatied with FV. We are not run or associated with any external academy. An AGM is held annually where loyal volunteers are nominated for service.
Q: Do you have junior / youth teams?
A: Yes — we offer a number of girls & boys junior teams across various age groups: MiniRoos Kick off (under 7s, through Under-18s, Seniors & more).

Q: Is there a deposit required?
A: Yes — for example, to confirm your spot in 2026, a $200 deposit is required.
Q: When is the full registration payment due?
A: The balance is due by 28 February 2026 in order to secure a spot.
Q: What does registration cover?
A: Registration typically includes match day uniform (top, shorts, socks), Football Victoria & Football Australia fees, tracksuit top, coaching, equipment, utility and council costs.
Q: Do you offer payment plans or financial assistance?
A: Yes — the club has a Financial Hardship Policy that allows for extended payment plans under certain circumstances.

Q: I have a business and want to sponsor the team my child is in is that possible?
A: Yes of course and you might even get a discount on your childs registration.
Safety, Conduct & Club Policies

A: Yes — we maintain a Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct, and other safety measures.
Q: What happens if there is an incident or complaint?
A: We have a Club Safety Incident Form and processes in place for handling complaints.

A: It depends on team spots, registration deadlines, and league rules. Contact the club to check availability.
Q: Do you run women’s or girls’ teams?
A: We have girls’ teams (e.g. Under-9, Under-12, Under-15) and a Soccer Mums team. We are exploring more women’s teams.
