Season-ready checklist

Coach checklist

  • Complete club registration and Working with Children Check requirements.
  • Read the club code of conduct, child-safety and safeguarding requirements.
  • Confirm training allocation, equipment and access arrangements.
  • Understand the age-group priorities and prepare suitable session plans.
  • Set clear match-day, communication and player-development expectations.

Team manager checklist

  • Complete the required registration and Working with Children Check.
  • Confirm team contacts and protect member information and privacy.
  • Coordinate fixtures, availability and weekly team communications.
  • Understand team sheets, equipment and match-day duties.
  • Know how to escalate injuries, incidents and welfare concerns.

Creating a safe and respectful environment is everyone's responsibility. Use the club guidance first and refer to the official Football Victoria resources when additional information is required.
